Catherine is a Principal Level Pilates Instructor (PAA) & accredited Social Worker with experience working with families in mental health settings. She is passionate about wellbeing, the connection between mind and body and supporting individuals to improve their lives.
Sessions can be tailored to combine counselling and integrative movement to enhance mind-body connection and somatic awareness. Working together with mind and body supports both mental and physical health, leading to better long term outcomes.
Aerial Yoga Therapeutics aligns with progressive exercise-based rehabilitation and trauma-informed frameworks. The Aerial Hammock is a sensory medium that enhances neural integration, induces a relaxation response, offers the restorative benefits of zero-compression inversions, incorporates joint and viscera decompression, and develops three-dimensional spacial awareness.
NeuroAffective Touch is a somatic psychotherapy modality using dialogue, mindfulness and touch as a vital therapeutic bridge to body-mind integration. This work can be integrated into counselling and/ or movement sessions.
Pilates is a mindfulness practice which can be adapted to support anxiety, depression and increase mental wellbeing. Pilates equipment can be used specifically to down or up regulate the nervous system to support mental health.
